Dr. Patrick Zingaro is a licensed psychologist in Delaware. Dr. Zingaro completed his post-doctoral residency at Mid-Atlantic Behavioral Health. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Oklahoma Forensic Center in Vinita, Oklahoma and earned his master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from The American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy, Arlington Virginia, an APA accredited program. Dr. Zingaro also completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wilmington University, in New Castle, Delaware.
Dr. Zingaro has experience in individual and group therapy settings with children, adolescents, and adults treating a wide array of disorders including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma, personality disorders, and psychosis. He has worked with diverse populations including individuals in acute care psychiatric settings, forensic settings, and community mental health.
Currently, Dr. Zingaro sees patients of all ages. His specialties include treating issues related to general mental health, depression and mood, anxiety, family issues, substance abuse, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders. Dr. Zingaro takes an integrated approach to treatment primarily utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, human centered, existential, and interpersonal methods. His therapeutic philosophy is tailored to the individual needs of his clients and is sensitive to an individual’s ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religious/spiritual beliefs as well as other cultural factors.
