Naveed Bajwa earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration: General Management, from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, and earned his master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University as well, with a focus/concentration in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Naveed has experience working in school settings and outpatient community mental health (CMH) with both children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as adults with mental illnesses. He has worked with individuals with autism, cognitive impairment, learning disorders, depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, etc., as well as individuals who have experienced extensive trauma. Naveed has a lot of experience working specifically with inner-city minority groups of low socioeconomic status. Naveed uses a client-centered approach and incorporates many different treatment concepts/modalities, including CBT, family systems, empowerment, spirituality, mindfulness, etc. to help clients overcome their issues, live a healthier, happier life, and achieve their goals. He believes in a holistic, integrated approach to healthcare, which emphasizes the importance and interconnectedness of physical health, mental health, emotional health, and spiritual health, and that people are fully capable of handling and dealing with the hurdles and obstacles that may arise in life, but oftentimes may need someone to help them unlock their skill set and tap into their true potential. Naveed is currently a licensed clinical social worker in the states of Delaware and Michigan.
