Miles Leon earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park then continued to receive his Master’s degree at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Social Work. He has a wide variety of experience within inpatient as well as outpatient settings providing individual and group therapy for adults, performing clinical supervision, case management, risk assessment, and treatment planning.
Miles works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. He has experience assisting individuals with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and Schizophrenia. Miles utilizes concepts from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as, mindfulness and relaxation exercises in an effort to assist with the acquisition of constructive thought processes, productive communication techniques, and improved capacities to manage anger and stress and respond to grief and loss. Miles brings passion, commitment, and a genuine belief that he can help those experiencing all types of chronic or acute mental health issues.
