Dr. Pierce earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University. She holds a Master’s of Arts degree in Psychology and Education from Columbia University in New York. Dr. Pierce has diverse outpatient clinical experience doing therapy and assessment with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples in a variety of mental health settings. She also has inpatient experience doing psychological testing for the Rockford Center and completed training at Christiana Hospital’s adult partial program. Currently, Dr. Pierce sees patients of all ages.
Her specialties include treating issues related to general mental health, trauma, depression and mood, anxiety, LGBT issues, family/relational issues, grief counseling, life transitions, and couples work. Dr. Pierce takes an integrated approach to her therapy utilizing psychodynamic, interpersonal, and cobnitive behavioral therapy (CBT) methods. Overall, Dr. Pierce likes to tailor her therapeutic approach to the individual needs of the patient.
