Heather obtained her undergraduate degree at Wilmington University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Widener University. Her previous experience includes many years of working in hospice care as both a social worker and Director of Patient Experience. She has a wide variety of experience in both the inpatient and in-home settings providing individual therapy for adults, family dynamics navigation,
case management, mentoring and clinical supervision, and grief group therapy.
Heather offers a whole-person approach considering the bio-psychosocial and spiritual aspects of the individual’s life, establishing collaborative treatment plans that align with an individual’s needs and care goals. She works with adults and families, and has experience assisting individuals with depression, anxiety, burnout, and with grief for deaths and non-death losses. She applies a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions utilizing concepts from Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dual Process Model, Psychodynamic Therapy, boundary setting, psychoeducation, acceptance, Mindfulness, and spiritual exploration.
