Geralyn has earned her undergraduate degree in behavioral science from Wilmington College and received her master’s degree in community counseling from Wilmington College. She has a variety of clinical experience working with adolescents and adults in various outpatient settings including the State of Delaware Community Mental Health, and Rockford Center’s IOP and partial program. She has worked as a court-appointed special advocate (CASA) and has been in private practice.
She works with adolescents over age 17, adults, couples and families. She enjoys working with a wide range of behavioral health issues including anxiety, depression, addiction, grief/loss, trauma, aging, women’s issues, life changes, schizophrenia and personality disorders. She conducts group and individual therapy for those in recovery for opiate addiction.
She utilizes various therapeutic techniques taking an integrative approach specifically tailored to meet the needs of each of her clients.
She holds certification in CADC (Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor) and CCDP-D (Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional Diplomate.
