Dr. Walker is a licensed psychologist utilizing a performance-based model and wellness approach to enhance the functioning of individuals, groups, teams, and organizations. His focus is in the assessment and identification of strengths, needs, and challenges. He holds a Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology, from the Department of Developmental Studies and Counseling at Boston University. His doctoral research explored athletic participation as a predictor of sexual aggression on college campuses. Dr. Walker also holds an MBA specializing in Health Care Management from Widener University.
Dr. Walker has over 20 years of clinical experience in the behavioral health field, with specializations in treating; stress-related mental illness in African Americans, children with pervasive developmental disorders (including Autism), children exhibiting antisocial and oppositional behaviors, psychometric assessment and evaluation, gender relations, conflict resolution, negotiation, mediation, sport psychology, and geriatric psychology. He was trained in multisystemic therapy (MST), motivational interviewing (MI), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and was also a Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP).
